Exposed stone Grind

The floor needs to be seeded with 19mm-22mm aggregate using 25 mpa concrete. This needs to be floated to get all the fines and cream to the surface. It is then ponded for 6-7 days and then a heavy grind is carried out to expose the aggregate and finished to about 75%. Once the gib-stopping is completed, we return to complete and polish.

Salt & Pepper

This is standard concrete, lightly ground to remove the lattence and expose random fines and sand. This is the most common finish we do.

Natural Finish

The newest and our favourite. This requires a burnished finish. A similar finish to a garage floor. The main job is make it polished without removing too much of it. This gives a very hard wearing and natural look that is neutral and easy to decorate around.

We also provide similar finishes in non-slip areas for exterior patios and decks. This enhances the indoor & outdoor flow and compliments both finishes really well.

Benefits of Polished concrete

Easy to clean, attractiveness, Enhances lighting, robustness & practicality.

Timber Floors

Experienced in sanding and coating tongue & groove, native timber and exotic timber floors.

More people are wanting stained or blended wood that matches their modern furniture and decor.

Water based or solvent based polyurethane depending on their needs and budgets. We also provide high standards of finishes to cork and particle floor boards.

Process

Timber floors are sanded with a belt sander, evening out any roughness and removing any coatings. This follows through with an edger which smooths out the areas missed by the larger sander. The surface is sanded again before the top coats are applied to bring out the grain in the timber.

Benefits

Wooden floors never go out of fashion and last for a life time. Wood is also a natural insulator. When it starts to show signs of wear, it can be sanded and polished again to keep it looking great!

Polished concrete is an ideal choice of flooring for high wearing surfaces.Concrete is also great for bathrooms and outdoor areas such as decks, holding in the heat.

It is also great for allergy sufferers because it doesn’t collect dust and termites.
